Kenya Nyeri Gaturiri AA - 5lb Bag

Gaturiri is a "coffee factory", a cooperative wet-processing mill, near the town of Karatina in the heart of Nyeri. Coffee from this area is always a pleasure for me and so I offer several from this region. AA refers to the screen size, which is 17-18 screen. It doesn't necessarily speak to the quality.  This lot has a brighter, citric acidity that jumps forward. Vacuum packed at origin which is the absolute best way to ensure maximum freshness.

COFFEE DESCRIPTION: Gaturiri is another Kenyan that I just had to offer to our customers. When I tasted it my senses soared and a smile came on my face, so here it is. Gaturiri is fruit juice coffee, with an intense, candy like sweetness. The dry grounds smell like red fruit punch with apples, dried flowers and honey comb. This lot of Gaturiri makes an incredible cup of coffee.Juicy, and intensely sweet, with a multiplicity of fruit flavors that come more perceptible as the cup temperature cools. The acidity is refreshing and reminds me of lemon spritzer. Blackberry and concord grape, navel orange, lemon, pineapple and mango.
